"La leyenda de José Carreras se despide de Chile con maestría y elegancia": legend, mastery and elegance are the key words of the local reports of the concert.
"Carreras, who overcame leukaemia in 1987, perhaps learned aa lot from such experience and since then took every performance to celebrate life on the stage with all his soul. Or perhaps he is just one of those privileged people whose task is to bring classical music to all kind of audience through such vibrant and majestic concerts like the one he offered to 50 thousand people at the Movistar Arena" says the press.

Here you have several videos of the concert.

After the concert, Carreras received a recognition from the National Rector of the Universidad Santo Tomás, Jaime Vatter,  who highlighted Josep Carreras "as one of the greatest exponents of lyric singing worldwide. For our University is an honor to give this recognition at the time of his farewell tour", he said. In turn, the tenor was very grateful for the recognition.

Now, the tenor is already in Montevideo, Uruguay, for his concert of tomorrow: on this occasion he will be proclamed "visitante ilustre" of the city.
